We are pleased to welcome the 36th edition of the IDC Robot Contest International University Exchange Event (International Design Contest). University students from around the world form mixed teams of several members and work together to win the contest.

For approximately two weeks, the students live together and participate in workshops. They overcome language and cultural barriers, share ideas, and design and build their robots. Finally, they put the culmination of their teamwork to the test by competing in the robot contest with the robots they have created.

IDC 2026 will be held at Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan, on August 22, 2026.
